About Heather
I have been a professional musician for over ten years performing throughout the UK and Europe while teaching alongside this. I have a Bachelor of Music with Honours degree and Master of Music in Performance with Distinction degree. I am a current member of the Hallé Orchestra as a violinist but have also played with BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera North, Manchester Camerata as well as performing alongside artists such as Echo and the Bunnymen, Gary Numan, Sugababes, Public Service Broadcasting, Twin Atlantic and Paloma Faith.
I have taught at many schools including Ashton on Mersey School in Sale, The Music Place in Altrincham, Aura Music Academy as well as a role of Practice Assistant at Chetham's School of Music.

I tutor to the capabilities of the student (may it be their quick ability to learn or maybe their concentration) I would gear the lengths of the lessons and amount of work covered around this. Depending on the level of the student, I would make sure they hold a healthy technique while approaching some pieces as well as covering some basic theory.
I am familiar with different styles of music (such as traditional, jazz, classical etc.) and I would be happy to put my students in for ABRSM grade exams.
Or if you are looking to learn for fun- that is ok too!
