About Naomi
Hello, I'm Naomi McClain, a passionate singing tutor with a focus on choral singing. As a senior in high school, I have dedicated seven years to music and choir, complemented by one year of private voice lessons. My goal is to inspire students by helping them discover their true potential and empowering them to achieve amazing things through their voices. I believe that everyone has the ability to create beautiful music, and I am here to guide and support students on their musical journey. As a High Honor Roll student and a proud member of the National Honors Society, I bring a professional and diligent approach to every tutoring session. I understand the importance of fostering a nurturing environment where students can grow in confidence and skill. If you're interested in working together, let's discuss availability and how we can embark on this musical adventure together.

Lesson plan:
1. Learn the objective of why the student wants to improve their singing voice.
2. Vocal Warm ups; exercises that focus on breath control, posture, vocal range, and vocal flexibility.
3. Choose a specific skill to focus on during that certain lesson, such as breath support, vowel formation, articulation, resonance, or vocal agility. Outline the exercises and activities that will help students develop and improve this particular skill.
4. Repertoire: Introduce or review a song or musical piece that aligns with the technique focus. Break down the song into manageable sections and guide students through vocal interpretation, dynamics, phrasing, and expression.
5. Individual Practice: Provide time for students to practice the technique and repertoire individually. Offer guidance, feedback, and corrections as needed, and encourage students to explore and experiment with their voices.
6. Provide practice assignments/homework such as exercises or songs to practice between lessons.
7. Take a few moments to reflect on the lesson with the students. Ask for their thoughts, questions, or concerns. Summarize the key takeaways and reinforce the objectives of the lesson.
Although I am a new tutor, I wish to share my years of gained knowledge with other young students who are looking to improve their voice. I hope my lessons not only teach the proper use of one's singing voice, but also consistency and the desire to work hard at anything they do.
My lessons are aimed for emerging singers, preferably children or teens, as I am only a student myself.
