About Cheng Hui
Hello! My name is Cheng Hui (Jason), and I am a Master Graduated student from China. My purpose is to assist and teach you in various subjects, mainly Mandarin Chinese. I’m here to help you learn and improve your language skills in a fun, engaging, and effective way.
I’m passionate about teaching because I believe that language opens doors to understanding new cultures, connecting with people around the world, and expanding your personal growth. Mandarin is a beautiful language with a rich history, and I’m excited to help you explore it. Whether you're a complete beginner or an intermediate learner, I’m here to guide you through the complexities of Chinese—pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and culture—so you can feel confident and capable in using Mandarin in real-world situations.

Techniques and methodology of teaching Mandarin:
1. Communicative language teaching: The focus is on real-life communication. I use task-based learning, ensuring that students can actively engage and practice language skills in meaningful contexts. The lessons are student-centered, with ample opportunities for speaking and interaction.
2. Pronunciation and Pinyin Emphasis: Correct pronunciation, especially tones, is prioritized.
3. Contextual Learning: I connect lessons to real-life situations and culture, such as role-playing or discussing cultural practices like Chinese festivals, making the language relevant and grounded in its cultural context.
4. Continuous Assessment: Students are regularly assessed through informal observations, quizzes, and feedback, allowing me to adjust lessons based on their progress.
-My lesson is for beginners to intermediate students with the preparation of taking HSK Test in the future.
-Length of a lesson will be about 1 hour.
