About Hyun Jung
Hello! My name is Ines Shin, and I’m a native Korean speaker currently studying in the UK. I graduated from a Korean Foreign Language High School, where I developed strong language and communication skills, and I have over six months of experience teaching Korean to UCL students. In addition, I have experience providing one-to-one tutoring, working with students from different backgrounds and proficiency levels.
Being a language learner myself—I currently study both French and Spanish—I understand the difficulties of mastering a new language. My lessons are interactive, personalised, and designed to help students speak Korean naturally and confidently while learning about Korean culture along the way.
Korean is very different from English in terms of its grammar, sentence structure, and pronunciation, so I understand that it can feel overwhelming at first. That’s why I focus on making Korean easy to understand, enjoyable to learn, and practical to use in real-life situations. Whether you’re learning Korean from scratch or looking to improve your speaking skills, I’ll guide you step by step at a pace that suits you. My goal is not only to help you learn Korean but also to help you enjoy the language, stay motivated, and become confident communicating in Korean.

We’ll expand your grammar and vocabulary while exploring Korean society and culture.
You’ll learn:
* More advanced grammar patterns
* Korean politeness levels and honorifics
* Korean customs, etiquette, and cultural differences
* Korean history and traditions
* More advanced expressions from K-pop songs and K-dramas
* Natural conversations for school, work, and everyday situations
3. ️Advanced Level
Speak Korean more like a native!
This level focuses on helping you sound natural and understand Korean beyond textbooks.
You’ll learn:
* Native expressions used between friends and family
* Korean slang, memes, and internet culture
* Real-life expressions from Korean media
* Korean history, current culture, and social topics
* Nuances that make your Korean sound natural
