About Alice
I have recently finished school and am enjoying a gap year before I study English Literature at Durham University. I love to travel and have just returned from India and Nepal having seen the Taj Mahal and Mount Everest! In my final year at school I volunteered to teach singing in a nearby primary school and absolutely loved it, so I ran a film production club for 11-13 year olds and gained further experience of working with children and passing on my skills. Having discovered that I love teaching, I will be volunteering to work in schools in rural areas of Vietnam, Cambodia and Bali through May and June which is why I qualified as a TEFL tutor and can prove that I have a clear DBS check.

I will use the Communicative Learning Approach to teach English as a foreign language to students from 10-16. I aim for lessons to be entertaining while incorporating skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking to increase language competency.
I achieved 97% overall in my English Literature A Level last year so am happy to tutor English Literature for GCSE Students. I would also discuss and analyse texts with A Level students.
