About Sara
Hello everyone! :) Please, read the sections below to get to know about me and my qualifications.
ABOUT ME
1. My name is Sara.
2. I graduated last year (2021) with my BA degree in Modern languages and English.
3. I am currently pursuing an LLM degree in International Human Rights Law and working on two research projects.
4. I speak Polish, English, German and a bit of French.
ABOUT MY QUALIFICATIONS - German
1. As a part of my BA degree, I completed modules such as mediating skills, translation and interpreting (German-English and vice versa). Actually, my team won a translation contest last year.
2. Some of my other modules included: German language, French language, sociolinguistics, semantics and pragmatics, and phonology.
3. As a part of my BA dissertation, I conducted a study on the oral corrective feedback methods in the acquisition of German grammatical structures. In my research project, I tried to find out which method of oral corrective feedback is more effective for adult learners’ acquisition of German grammatical structures including causation and consequence clauses, conjunctions, and verb position in the sentence.
4. I have studied German for more than 11 years. Additionally, I spent a compulsory year abroad in Germany as a part of my degree. In that time, I lived, studied full-time, and worked part-time in Berlin.
5. My previous volunteering experience as a German language session leader at one of the local schools was an amazing journey. It made me realise that teaching and explaining language to individuals is something I genuinely enjoy.
