About Chloe
I have previously studied English Literature at undergraduate level (achieving an average of a 1st) and, during my A-level studies, I have provided support to fellow students in this subject area in order to ameliorate their grades, particularly as the new-style A-level course has become more challenging.
My teaching method is to consider the pivotal themes of plays, poetry and prose as well as linking such ideas to contextual factors, critics and analysis of language, e.g. symbolism, form (stream of consciousness, omniscient narrator, etc.).
Thanks to my having studied A-level English Literature in recent years, I believe that this provides me with an advantage for teaching students because I am fully aware of the skills required to attain higher grades. Alas, I can also provide support regarding revision techniques so that students are able to ameliorate their skills and, ultimately, their grades in this subject.

I achieved an A* in my English Literature A-level (Edexcel) in 2018 and have since provided teaching support to fellow students during my studies in the form of providing revision tools, such as lists of key quotations followed by deep analysis.
My lessons are based on addressing the assessment objectives required in the A-level English Literature course so that students can meet them and attain higher grades, yet ultimately I endeavour to instil a passion for the learning of literature itself - whether it is the recognition of similarities between texts, such as the theme of social oppression in 'Tess of the D'Urbervilles' and 'Mrs Dalloway', or the dramatic clamour in 'A Streetcar Named Desire'.
I also provide revision resources that I have created myself to students, including essay plans and essays written in timed conditions.
