About Charlie
When I'm not teaching, I'm building algorithms to trade the financial markets (using Math there), reading to expand my knowledge and ponder about life. As much as I like the challenges of solving difficult questions, what inspires me the most is seeing my students being inspired on the subject itself. That's half the battle won. The 2nd half of the battle is won when my students confidently say that the answer key is wrong and explain why. I am lucky to have met some passionate teachers along the way, so I hope to inspire others moving forward as well.

General Info:
Graduated from NUS, Chemical Engineering (1st Class Honours).
Teaching Math for Lower and Upper Secondary students.
Typical length of a lesson will be 1 - 2 hours.
Methodology:
I see my role as a consultant to dissect the issues (and bridge any gap in understanding) that the students have, not as a teacher to repeat what is already being taught in school.
First, listen to what problem the student is facing pertaining to particular questions. So that I can understand the conceptual understanding the student have.
Most importantly, I will work side by side and look at the step-by-step solutions while the student is writing to make sure his/her understanding is correct. Will intervene and guide to solidify his/her understanding, as and when necessary.
