About Adam
I am qualified as a TEFL (Teaching English for Foreign Languages) educator, sports coach (specializing in rugby and cricket) and have studied a Bachelor of Education majoring in History and Physical Education.
I know myself to be an enthusiastic and passionate individual who is compassionate, caring and who listens to others intently. I love educating as I can freely express these qualities with my students whilst inviting them to do the same. Education is an environment in which I feel comfortable and confident to be myself and I find great joy in providing students with the opportunity to meet their potential.
I have developed my ability to teach as I believe that it is not just something we do, but something that we are. We are all teachers and students that are constantly learning and growing together. I love this about education as it means we work and grow as a team.

I believe learning and education should be made relevant to each students experience to allow for knowledge retention and personal growth beyond an exam or assignment. I love to work with students as apart of a team to allow them to understand how we can apply the lessons and teachings to our personal lives and situations whilst, of course preparing students for the desired academic goal. We can learn to prepare for the assessment and for life together.
I love to celebrate the unique learning style of each individual and believe that tailoring to those needs is the way to make learning relevant and engaging for each student. As a result, my lessons vary from 15 minutes to 1 hour with a range of auditive, visual, verbal and physical cues and activities.
I have developed this attitude toward education as I have worked in a diverse range of educational environments such as in a structured Australian classroom setting, teaching English to adults and children in Vietnam and tutored online for young children in China.
Above all, learning should be fun, light and memorable. If a student experiences this during a session then I see that as a major success.
