My main teaching method is to incorporate a small amount of vocabulary to the student(s) and see how creatively they can use said vocabulary. To ensure that the students can produce said vocabulary I push them to use the target language to the utmost of their ability. I also frequently include games and some songs/rhymes to help students remember content learned throughout their time spent with me. This also serves as a reminder that learning can and should be fun.
I am a TEFL graduate who successfully completed a 120 Hour TEFL course, where I had learned professional teaching techniques and how to properly conduct lessons. I also have 1 year of teaching experience working for a company where I was sent to schools across London to conduct Mandarin lessons as well as having been a one-on-one tutor.
I am passionate about learning languages. It has always been my dream to make the most of the opportunities that come with competency in languages. These include traveling, translating, learning about other cultures, and especially teaching others. English is my first language, but I also speak and write German and Mandarin Chinese. I am dependable, punctual and professional. I take great pride in my work and work hard on any task that I initiate or assigned. I am a valuable team player who enjoys working with others to realise a common goal, but I am also comfortable working on my own, if need be. Due to my interest in foreign languages, I’ve learnt to be sociable and to show respect towards peoples of all backgrounds. The greatest assets I can bring to any workplace include my professionalism, sincerity, honesty and a great sense of collegiality.
