About Phil
I have more than 22 years of experience as a Make-up and Hair Artist working in a live television environment. I was Head of Make-up at ITN for 13 years providing services to ITV News, Channel 4 News, Channel 5 News. I covered many television 'specials' such as two Royal Weddings, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and I was the Make-up Artist for the world famous interview of HRH Prince William and Kate Middleton for the announcement of their engagement.
I have also worked on light entertainment programmes such as Saturday Kitchen, The Disney Channel and Aled Jones Weekend show.
For the past ten years I have also been a Skin Camouflage Practitioner helping those with a skin condition such as Vitiligo, scarring, Birthmarks to increase their confidence with the use of skin camouflage creams.

For the past 15 years I have been teaching a variety of people how to apply make-up or skin camouflage creams to themselves. This ranges from female clients wanting to learn techniques in every day make-up application, Trans clients wanting to learn how to feminise the face and all genders wishing to apply skin camouflage creams to reduce the appearance of a condition which affects their confidence.
I provide one on one private lessons, each one bespoke to your needs and requirements.
I am currently expanding lessons to include subjects such as 'An Introduction to Television Make-up and Hair' and 'An Introduction to Skin Camouflage Techniques' for those who are interested in pursuing a career in television make-up or in being a Skin Camouflage Practitoner. These will be 'taster sessions' to help you decide whether to pursue a full qualification in these areas. Much emphasis is placed on 'perfection' in many online tutorials however if you are working in a live television environment you will often have very limited time to get someone camera ready as a Make-up Artist. Shortcuts and the main things to concentrate on are vital in such situations and will give you the edge over other Artists.

Details
For those wishing to learn how to apply make-up or skin camouflage to themselves, the cost is £135 per hour. For skin camouflage that includes me finding the correct products for your condition.
Introductory lessons on becoming a television Make-up Artist or an introduction to skin camouflage, the cost is £35 per hour. Courses will be five hours teaching.
