About Addison
My name is Addison. I have a PhD in English, two master's degrees, and a bachelor's degree. I have 7 years of experience teaching and working full-time in a university setting, plus additional ESL teaching experience in international contexts. I also have published my own research and scholarship, including peer-reviewed chapters and articles.

I focus lessons on the needs of each individual student. Rather than focus too heavily on lecture, I use interactive techniques, conversation, writing activities, and game-based learning to enhance students' skill levels and abilities. Often, a lesson will include a short "lecture", interactive lesson, and then a conversational debrief. With my experience teaching at the university level, middle school, and middle-high school in the Czech Republic, I can teach all levels and genres of the English language.
