About Ana
I have over 10 years of experience in teaching English to students from a variety of linguistic and cultural backgrounds. I am TESOL certified and hold a Master's Degree in Education.
I love using a cognitive learning approach that helps students use their brains more effectively and learn a language in a way that will allow them to really understand it and actually use it in their daily lives.
Learning a language doesn't have to be scary and stressful. Trust me, I know how you might feel. I am about to start learning a sixth language, and I feel really excited about it because I know how to do it efficiently and enjoy the process. I am an experienced educator who is well versed in various language teaching methodologies including communicative approach, total physical response, grammar-translation method, audio-lingual, and task-based language teaching model.
There is no such thing as a typical lesson plan. I believe in teaching the learner instead of following a prescribed lesson plan or simply relying on a book. I do diagnostic assessments of my students, identify their needs, and establish new goals. I make sure to monitor their progress carefully and modify lessons accordingly. I also take into consideration their individual styles and learning profiles.
I love teaching school-aged children, but I also enjoy working with adults. Each learner is unique, and I take their educational process seriously.
