About Katie
I worked as an ESL teacher in Vietnam for four years. During this time I planned and taught lessons through different curriculums to children and adults. The curriculums I used were Family and Friends, Oxford Phonics World, Headway and American English File.
Since then, I have worked in Primary and Secondary schools working with students with special needs with the National British curriculum. I have experience with students with learning difficulties including Autism and ADHD.
I believe learning English can be exciting, engaging and a great way to connect with people from around the world! I make it a priority to get to know my students so they feel comfortable enough to make mistakes. I like to play games to make learning fun (especially when teaching grammar!).

I have a Certificate IV in TESOL which is a CELTA equivalent. I have 6 years of experience as an ESL teacher in Vietnam and Thailand and two years experience working as a special needs teacher in the UK. I am passionate about making learning fun, engaging and supportive!
I love to get to know my students and create lessons based on their goals and how they learn best. I speak slowly and clearly and like to help students improve their pronunciation and their confidence!
