I have years of experience working with hundreds of children with varying learning requirements, so confident that I can provide the appropriate methods of teaching to achieve the best possible outcomes. I work normally on a 1 to 1 basis, or in groups of 8-15. My typical lesson structure consists of a technical explanation behind the practice, and a step by step practical demonstration, followed by encouraging the student to attempt the practice alone with shadowing guidance. We then review the outcomes, assessing any potential areas for improvement, while if necessary working together to develop a independent practice program to complete for the next lesson.
I am a photographer, free lance artist and musician nearing the end of my studies in York. I run an art department at a popular summer camp in Hartford, Maine where I work with children aged 5 - 16, teaching an array of art skills.
Happy to travel within York, although will require a minimum of 24 hour cancellation notice as I study and work part time throughout the week.
