About Madeleine
Hello! I’m Madeleine, a third year flautist at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. I started learning flute at nine years old and it has been the main focus of my life since then! I attended Royal Welsh junior department from age 12-15 and the Purcell school for young musicians for sixth form. I have my ABRSM diploma on flute and won my school and county young musician of the year when I was younger. More recently I was a semi-finalist in the Royal Welsh concerto competition and was commended in the all flutes plus prize 2024. My goal after college is to have a strong teaching career and to play professionally in an orchestra.

Flute lessons for all ages and experience. Am happy to teach grades or not! Lessons tailored to fit personal goals and motivations with length of lessons anywhere from 30 mins to an hour. I have experience as a music mentor/coach for youth music courses and some one to one teaching experience, but would describe myself as a beginner teacher (which is reflected in my rates) and am very excited to start properly teaching!
