In teaching any subject, I believe in the one-to-one approach. This allows the current weaknesses of the student to be immediately addressed and rectified. When teaching new students, I prefer to quiz them on the subject, straightaway giving me an idea of the abilities of the student and what topic areas I should focus on teaching them.
I am a third year student at Keele University studying Astrophysics, and have A levels in physics and maths. I have experience tutoring maths students at both GCSE and A level standard. Some of these students have gone on to study maths-related subjects at universities.
I am a motivated, ambitious individual. Living on my university campus has taught me to independently manage my time and arrive at engagements and appointments with punctuality. I enjoy the company of others and can work well as a member of a team, learning from my experiences in group projects at university and when I took part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) challenge. I have tutored students in GCSE and A level maths, giving me further experience in communication in teaching. I take pride and satisfaction in my work.

From October 2012 to September 2014, I worked at a One Stop store delivering newspapers. This taught me to manage my time effectively.
For around a month in the summer of 2017, I volunteered at New Cross Hospital as a receptionist. I handled patient discharge files and processed new patients, as well as responding to queries both on the telephone and of visitors to the ward. I learned how to organise my work throughout the day and how to communicate with both colleagues and members of the public.
Interests and Hobbies:
In my spare time I read fiction novels, 1984 being one of my favourites. I also enjoy watching cricket, which is my favourite sport. I own a telescope which I use to sustain my interest in astronomy.
