About Roderic
I'm a French 3rd year law student doing a dual degree between University College Dublin and Université Toulouse Capitole.
Therefore, I do believe that I'm able to provide a thorough, first-hand knowledge of the French language in its everyday use.
Moreover, being used to the rigid structure of French law studies, I can develop a well-structured teaching plan that can evolve with the needs of the student.
Additionally, I'm completely fluent in English and shouldn't have any issue talking with the student.

My focus is on speaking French rather than on learning grammar rules. I mainly offer conversation-driven lessons to help students use French in everyday situations. There's still a structure with clear goals to reach each session, but the emphasis is on real, spoken French. I see myself mainly as a complement to formal French classes — helping students practice and gain confidence with what they're learning in school, rather than replacing that instruction.
I offer flexible lesson lengths depending on the needs and wishes of the student, from 30 to 60 minutes.
As a native French speaker, I'm well placed to help students practice speaking French outside of an academic context. Being fluent in English, I have no trouble communicating with and teaching students who aren't yet confident in French. I'm currently working toward a certification in teaching French as a foreign language, so I bring a genuinely thought-through, structured approach even as I build up my own experience.
Mostly kids and teenagers studying French in school, looking for extra speaking practice alongside their academic courses.
