About Cheryl
I am a 3rd year MSci biochemistry student at UCL, with first and second year performance both 1st degree.
I had a year of volunteering experience in school around London with UCL's Science4Kids program where we demonstrated scientific knowledge and performed fun experiments to school students.
I spent two summers doing research internship in a cancer research lab back in my home country China, and I have been demonstrating laboratory technique to juniors and new-comers in our lab who are now starting their own research projects. One of the project I worked on was already published and currently under review, with the other yet to be published.
I had a 5-month research internship at UCL, also with publication pending.
I once gave a 15-minute academic presentation about cancer research and treatment at UCL society event where we collaborated with Brainstrust, a fundraising organisation for brain cancer.

I'd like to give class to high school students who is taking A level/IGCSE biology/chemistry and helping them for better result in exams.
My areas of strength are biochemistry and molecular biology (and A level biology in general), organic and physical chemistry.
I generally like to explain theories into detail and helping people understand the scientific basis behind.
With my stays in research labs I am happy to share my experience and insight on academic research, with students who are interested, which I believe is especially helpful for A level students applying for relevant university programs.
