About Thomas
- What kind of experience do you have?
I have studied with some of the best tutors in the country (see below) and can pass on their experience and wisdom to my students even if they are just beginning to learn an instrument. I currently teach people of different ages and abilities and help them to improve. I often pass on my own interest in Alexander technique helping my students to develop good habits and practice effectively. I have also assisted in musical workshops for primary school children.

Yes, I have an up to date enhanced DBS certificate.
- Where and with whom did you train?
Birmingham Conservatoire - Mike Williams, Andy Panayi, Jean Toussaint, John Turville, Hans Koller, Percy Pursglove, Mark Hodgson and Andrew Bain.
HfMT Hamburg - Gabriel Coburger and Fiete Felsch.

I am a Saxophone, Piano and Music Theory tutor based in Birmingham with a large amount of experience performing.

- Tell me about your qualifications.
I have recently graduated (July 2016) from the prestigious Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz course with a first class degree.
- How much do you charge?
£25/hr - Saxophone
£25/hr - Piano
£25/hr - Jazz Piano
£25/hr - Music Theory/Composition
For beginners and young students I recommend half hour lessons for which I charge £20.
- Where do you teach?
Generally I teach students at their own homes and I am willing to travel to anywhere within the West Midlands including Birmingham, Solihull, Dudley, Stourbridge, West Bromwich, Wolverhampton and Sutton Coldfield. Any travel expense is included within my fee.
- When are you available?
I am available to teach at most times so please get in touch to organise a time that works for you.

All ages and levels.
- Which qualifications do you prepare your students for?
I can prepare students for graded music exams with ABRSM or Trinity College.
