I began my career as an actor in 1979 at Southwold summer theatre, a weekly repertory theatre company. I went on to appear in many West End productions through the years, notably Macbeth at The Old Vic, Man and Superman at The Theatre Royal Haymarket. Following a two year run in Jeffrey Bernard is Unwell at The Apollo, I went on to form my own production company.
My narration work includes A Christmas Carol and The Signalman by Charles Dickens, Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K Jerome, short stories by Stacy Aumonier and Saki as well as most recently My Italian Bulldozer by Alexander McCall Smith.
I have worked extensively in the City as a coach and public speaker for such organisations as The Worshipful Company of Chartered Surveyors, Microrent plc and Smith Williamson. I provide private tutorials on voice production, elocution and presentation skills to a wide range of clients, from actors to executives.

Sir Timothy is unmatched by other tutors. Students will benefit from tailored training based on their level of English. We went through exercises to improve the diction and clarity of my speech including exercises on vowels and consonants and breathing. What I find most valuable is his wider vision and expectation of his students: he has also helped me learn to appreciate English culture. Having been with him for 2 years I still enjoy my time with him and cannot recommend him more highly.
I was looking for an elocution teacher to improve my English.Anxious to find an experienced professional who would understand my concerns and would be able to find a bespoke solution,i was very lucky to find Sir Timothy.
The progress came quickly,,but i discovered so much more with Sir Timothy.A professional,a thoroughly delightful man so generous in sharing his life experiences and knowledge of the world. Each class is a joy and a wonderful journey into poetry, literature and ultimately,
a step closer to becoming a native speaker.
Thank you Sir Timothy for doing what you do ,and doing it so well.
