About SHUBHI
Hi, I’m Shubhi, and I’m obsessed with helping students stop second-guessing their English. I want you to walk away from every lesson feeling taller: more confident expressing your ideas in conversations, stronger on exams, and unstoppable when your words hit the page.
I graduated at the top of my class in English Literature and turned that love for language into hands-on teaching. For two years, I taught 9th–12th graders online, guiding them through essays, reports, articles, letters, and creative writing — with most seeing 15–20% score improvements in a short time. I’ve also assisted with IELTS prep, guided countless university Statements of Purpose (SOPs), and co-authored published research papers while presenting at academic seminars. That means I know academic English inside out — from strong argumentation to perfect referencing (APA, MLA, Chicago & more).
Why do I teach? Because I’ve seen firsthand how confident, clear writing opens doors — better grades, stronger college applications, higher test scores, and simply feeling proud of your own words. English stopped feeling like a chore for my students once they had the right tools, structured feedback, and someone who genuinely celebrates their progress.

I’m passionate about making English exciting and achievable! My tutoring style is interactive, supportive, and super practical—think lively discussions, real-time feedback, and lots of hands-on writing that actually sticks.
We kick off with clear modeling (how to structure essays, craft powerful arguments, nail tone & flow), then dive straight into your own writing with guided practice and instant revisions. Every 1.5-hour lesson feels dynamic: warm-up chat → core skill focus → serious writing time (letters, articles, reports, essays) → personalized feedback and next steps.
A signature part of my method? I provide a curated, level-appropriate vocabulary list at the start of each topic, then gradually guide you to use those words confidently—first in sentences, then paragraphs, and finally full compositions. Students quickly see their word bank grow and their writing become richer and more sophisticated.
I topped my English Literature undergrad class and spent 2 years teaching 9th–12th graders online—most saw score jumps of 15–20%! I’ve also assisted with IELTS classes and guided students with university SOPs. As a published research co-author and seminar presenter, I’m very comfortable with academic style and referencing (APA, MLA, Chicago & more).
