About Dhanu
I’m a Bharatanatyam dancer with over 18 years of training, and I completed my arangetram in 2021. Dance has always been a big part of my life. I’ve performed on various stages over the years and have also participated in competitions, which has helped me grow both technically and as a performer.
I have experience teaching as a student instructor, where I worked with students ages 5 to 18. During that time, I taught classes, choreographed pieces, and helped with stage productions and costumes. Being involved in both the teaching and performance side has shaped how I approach dance today.
I enjoy working with students of all ages and experience levels, and I aim to create a space where people feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn.

My teaching style is structured but relaxed—I like to keep things fun while still focusing on strong fundamentals. A typical class starts with a quick warm-up, then we’ll either work on adavus (for classical technique) or learn a choreography depending on your goals. I also focus on expressions, musicality, and helping you feel confident in your movements.
Each lesson is tailored based on your level, whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills. I’ve worked with both kids and adults, and I aim to make dance something you genuinely enjoy while improving each session.
