About Andrés
I'm Andrés, a trainee secondary science teacher completing my PGCE in Secondary Science with Biology at Brunel University. I hold a BSc in Organismal Biology from Royal Holloway, University of London, and an up-to-date Enhanced DBS certificate.
As well as teaching in mainstream settings, I've also taught in independent secondary schools. Supporting students who haven't thrived in mainstream education, including many with ADHD and autism, has shaped how I teach. I adapt to individual learners' needs, break topics into manageable steps, and build confidence alongside knowledge to help students not only pass exams but also prepare for the next stage of their science education.

I tutor KS3 Science (Years 7 to 9), GCSE Science, and A-level Biology, online or in person.
Because I'm training in classrooms right now, my lessons reflect current practice: I know the specifications and what examiners look for. Lessons include exam-board-specific practice (AQA, Edexcel, OCR), model answers, and mark-scheme technique, with regular recaps so knowledge sticks.
I offer a free, no-obligation 30-minute intro session over Zoom to meet the student and understand what they need. Message me with your year group and exam board, and we'll book it in.
