About Cian
Cian Darcy is a professional music educator with over 10 years of experience playing and teaching music and music theory. He strives to pass on both a knowledge of and a passion for music, focusing on the individual needs and interests of each individual student, be they 5 or 55.
Cian has a full bachelor's in Commercial Modern Music from Bimm Dublin, where he studied modern composition and music theory intensely, receiving a first in theory and composition in his final year of study.
Cian has written and recorded many songs both alone and in collaboration with bandmates, giving him a detailed knowledge of industry standard terminology and musical techniques.

Music theory lessons with a ground-up approach focused on passing on a practical understanding of how chords, scales and rhythms can be used to enhance songwriting, and to write similarly to your favourite artists using music theory as a tool to do so.
The approach used in these lessons is far removed from traditional classical composition/ curriculum based music education, and aims to escape the limiting nature of these methods, leaving students with practical knowledge ready to use instantly in their songwriting.
