About Amy
Hello! My name is Amy and I am a third-level student currently pursuing a BA in the History of Art and Architecture and French at Trinity College Dublin. Having gone through the secondary school system of language learning and achieving a H1 grade in French, I am aware of the anxiety students of the language often face. A lot of this stems from the fact that there aren't enough hours allocated in timetables each week for students to make steady progress across each of the four language learning skills- reading, writing, listening and speaking. It is my imperative as a language teacher (who is incredibly passionate about the French language!) to provide students with a clear sense of direction through a realistic, immersive approach to language learning. This methodology has been found to be one of the most successful approaches to language learning, leaving students feeling confident to face the state exams and use the language in a practical manner.

I have experience in teaching from Junior Cert ordinary level to Leaving Cert higher level and have successfully helped increase all my students' grades in line with their own goals. My approach to teaching is very flexible and always based around the individual needs of the student.
