**Teaching Style:**
I’m a relaxed teacher who customizes each lesson to fit the student. My teaching follows the ‘FITCH’ approach, a flexible framework that adapts to individual needs.
**Fun:** Every lesson includes learning and performing a song. This makes the lesson enjoyable and lets students apply their skills in real time. I guide each student through the song, offering tools and techniques to overcome challenges. I also use analogies to make technical concepts more engaging.
**Individual:** Every student has a unique learning style. To ensure lessons are effective and comfortable, we start with an open dialogue where both of us ask questions, making the process collaborative.
**Trackable:** I set weekly targets and review them at the beginning of each lesson. With the student's and guardian’s permission, I record performances to help shape future goals. This keeps progress measurable and learning efficient.
**Challenging:** Each lesson focuses on a technical element, tied to a specific part of the song. This helps students understand the value of technique and boosts confidence in tackling tougher sections.
**Healthy:** We begin by focusing on proper form, posture, and breathing to ensure safe, injury-free practice and performance.
I don’t teach grades; instead, I set clear, achievable goals for each student. We track these goals bi-weekly to ensure continuous progress.
I’ve worked with a wide range of ages and skill levels, including students with ADHD and Dyslexia, though I don’t hold formal certifications for special needs education. I have an enhanced DBS certificate and a safeguarding certificate from the Child Protection Company.

Thank youI've known Taliesin since 2017, while mentoring him as part of the Powerjam Band Project. His creativity and improvisation span multiple genres, and he consistently impresses in live performances, taking solos and lead parts with ease. He's an incredibly versatile musician who has recently formed Silken Eyes, performing at notable venues like Glastonbury Festival. He also collaborates with other artists in various genres and is currently teaching for Powerjam. I recommend him for Superprof because he is extremely talented, professional, and a great person in general. Any student would be lucky to have them as a tutor!
It's rare to find a musician with the feel and abilty to interpret musical structure and meaning like Taliesin.
He has discipline in both learning and teaching, always searching for new styles and techniques to broaden his approach to writing and producing music.
He is patient in his approach to tutoring, is key in helping students develop their practical skills but also understanding the essence of the music. This is instrumental in nuturing a natural and relaxed approach to live performance.
