About Patrick
Musical education has always been a passion of mine, and after being offered many experiences and opportunities while growin up, it seems right to be able to continue this for younger generations.
I've been fortunate enough to have worked with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra as a Learning Mentor. I was selected for this scheme after an interview process and had the opportunity to work with some of the best young musicians in the country. I assisted with the leading of fortnightly workshops and acted as an Assistant Musical Director of the NYJO Academy Big Band, running rehearsals and leading the band at a public performance, as well as offering one-to-one support.
School based education has also made up part of my teaching, with trumpet lessons, small group theory sessions and curriculum support for large classes; it's always great to see students develop their skills.
