About Samuel
My tutoring philosophy focuses on understanding each beginner's unique goals and aspirations during our hour-long lessons. I tailor each session to their interests, using online resources to enhance their learning experience. I encourage students to play pieces they enjoy, allowing us to analyse their strengths and areas for improvement together. Creating a positive and respectful environment is essential, and I believe that patience and preparation are key to success. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire a deeper love for the trumpet in my students and help them achieve their musical ambitions.

I’m a dedicated undergraduate Music student at the University of Southampton, specialising in trumpet performance. My experience with orchestras like the Bexley Youth Orchestra and the Southampton University Jazz Orchestra has deepened my passion for music. I want to teach because I believe in sharing the joy of playing the trumpet with others, especially beginners. Through personalised hour-long lessons, I aim to inspire students by focusing on their interests and helping them achieve their musical goals. Creating a positive and respectful learning environment is essential to me, as I want my students to feel confident and excited about their progress on their musical journey.
