About Steven
I am a Computer Programming tutor with a BSc in Computer Science and more than 5 years of teaching experience. I work with high school students preparing for IGCSE and A-Level exams. My lessons combine live coding demonstrations, step-by-step explanations, and practical exercises. Students gain confidence in key programming topics, including Loops, Functions, Data Structures, and Object-Oriented Programming. I incorporate extensive past paper practice to strengthen exam readiness. Lessons are tailored to the student’s pace and learning style. I focus on problem-solving, debugging, and logical reasoning skills. Complex coding concepts are broken into clear, manageable steps. I encourage creativity and curiosity alongside technical learning. Students develop real coding skills while preparing for exams. Lessons are interactive, structured, and reflective. I aim to make programming both understandable and enjoyable. Together, we tackle difficult topics and achieve mastery. My goal is to help students succeed academically and in practical coding projects.

I teach Computer Programming with a focus on visualisation, conceptual understanding, and hands-on learning. Students observe how code executes, algorithms function, and programs interact. Key topics include Functions, Loops, Variables, Object-Oriented Programming, Algorithm Design, and Recursion. Web Development basics are also introduced. Lessons combine interactive coding demonstrations with step-by-step explanations. I provide dedicated support to Future Developers and Logical Thinkers, helping them master programming fundamentals. Students practise writing, testing, and debugging code effectively. Exercises improve problem-solving and computational thinking skills. Real-life examples help connect abstract concepts to practical scenarios. Creativity is encouraged alongside logical reasoning. Lessons are structured and paced to suit individual learning styles. Together, we turn complex programming ideas into clear, manageable skills. With consistent practice, coding fundamentals become clear. My goal is to help learners succeed academically and practically.
