About Tiffany
Teaching provides the most effective way for me to deconstruct the mechanics of string performance for those who struggle with clarity. My Bachelor of Music from the Royal College of Music forms the basis for a 13 year career spent refining tone production and left hand agility. I have worked with 345 students to ensure that classical repertoire and orchestral playing become accessible rather than intimidating tasks. These sessions focus on the physical nuances that define a player, and I offer a free trial lesson to gauge your starting level as we begin.

"Is it difficult to coordinate your bow arm while simultaneously focusing on complex sight reading passages? I help you troubleshoot these technical bottlenecks by isolating specific motions to restore fluidity to your playing. We examine your posture and grip in detail, since even subtle shifts can change the resonance of your instrument significantly.
It is satisfying to hear a student finally resolve a tricky intonation issue or execute a shift with perfect ease. I find that focusing on the smaller, granular details of technique often leads to the most enjoyable progress during our time together."
