About Harry
I took a first-class Economics degree at Birkbeck while working full time, and twice won the Derek Scott prize for the strongest non-final-year results. I know what it is to learn under pressure and still need the idea explained in the right order. I use economics every day in my work on investment and public policy, but I want to teach because A-level is where confidence is won or lost. A student who can redraw the diagram and write one clean paragraph starts to trust the paper. We stay focused on the exam board, take one topic at a time, and a short task between sessions helps solidify the knowledge.

I start by finding what the student already understands, so the first lesson feels manageable rather than exposing. We then build and practise, one diagram and one short written answer at a time. Confidence comes from the student seeing their own work improve against the mark scheme, week by week, and gaining an intuitive understanding of the topic.
