I am a final year medical student at Imperial College London. I have thoroughly enjoyed studying Medicine and am looking to teach General Medicine and Surgery as a way to expand my portfolio of tutorials, master the content of what I would teach and have some fun.
I can teach students starting their clinical placements. The topics I have had placements, teaching and exams on so far include:
General Medicine and Surgery
Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Global Health (my BSc)
Preclinical years of medical school - i.e. anatomy and physiology
I would be happy to arrange tutorials on any of the above topics if you find them difficult.
I really think studying medicine can be fun and I want to teach it in order to really spend time with the principles of medicine.
I have teaching experience at my College.
I gave some revision lectures for molecular science in my 2nd year.
In my 3rd year I taught guitar, and delivered tutorials on mental health to secondary school students.
In my 4th year at medical school I gave tutorials on OSCEs. This involved running through the basic systems examinations (Cardiovascular exam, Respiratory exam, Abdominal exam, Peripheral and Cranial neurological exams etc.) and clinical science (ECGs, Chest X-ray interpretation etc.).
In my 5th year I gave a revision tutorial for students doing the Global Health BSc at Imperial College.
I like to teach small groups or individuals and enjoy teaching clinical science with scenarios and interactive sessions ("teach by quizzing").

Having both known Prerak for 4 years and having been his tutee for my medical school exams, I can confidently say that he is an approachable, thoughtful and knowledgeable individual. He breaks down complex material into easily understood portions, and is more than happy to think of new ways to explain a concept to make sure that it can easily be learned and recalled. His calm demeanor ensures that any anxieties about the topic at hand are easily overcome and the time I've spent learning from him has been thoroughly enjoyable.
I met Prerak at an university show where he was performing with his band. I spoke to him there and asked how I would be able to learn to play the Guitar. He was very friendly and that's when he offered me affordable guitar lessons.
Prerak is easy-going and extremely patient creating a comfortable vibe for learning. Moreover, he provides clear specific instructions while tutoring which makes his his lessons effective. I felt more fluent and confident after each of my twenty lessons with Prerak. It feels great to be able to play many simple tunes as well as a few difficult songs! Looking back I am glad I had him as my tutor and I highly recommend him.
