About Mary
Bonjour, je m’appelle Mary. J’ai plus de 10 ans d’expérience en enseignement, tant en classe qu’en cours particuliers. Bien que je me spécialise dans l’enseignement de l'anglais, j’ai également enseigné le français, l’histoire, les mathématiques et les sciences. Je peux offrir un soutien aux devoirs ou élaborer des leçons spécifiquement adaptées aux besoins de mes élèves. J’ai une vaste expérience auprès des enfants de 3 à 18 ans et un intérêt particulier pour l’accompagnement des nouveaux arrivants au Canada. Ma connaissance du français, de l’anglais, du russe et de l’espagnol, ainsi que mon expérience d’enseignement dans une école chinoise, me permettent de créer des liens avec des élèves issus de diverses origines. Passionnée par l’enseignement, je crois qu'avec les bons outils, chaque élève peut réussir académiquement. // Hi, my name is Mary, I have over 10 years of experience teaching both in class and in one-on-one settings. While I specialize in teaching English, I have also taught French, history, math and science. I can provide homework support or develop lessons specifically tailored to the students' needs. I have extensive experience in teaching children ages 3 to 18 and have a special interest in working with new Canadians. My knowledge of French, English, Russian and Spanish, and experience teaching in a Chinese school helps me connect with students from various backgrounds. I am passionate about teaching and I believe that with the right tools, any student can succeed academically.

Je travaille avec chaque élève afin d’identifier ses forces ainsi que les points d'amélioration, puis je développe des stratégies pour atteindre nos objectifs. Je suis convaincue que l’apprentissage peut être amusant et qu'il est important de développer la motivation de l’élève afin d’assurer sa participation active. Les cours que j'offre peuvent suivre le programme scolaire ou être entièrement adaptés aux besoins spécifiques de l’élève. // I work with the student to identify strengths and areas that need improvement, and develop strategies to reach our objectives. I believe that learning can be fun and focus on keeping the student motivated to ensure their active participation in learning. The lessons can be an extension of the school curriculum or be tailored specifically to the student's needs.
