About Martha
After spending two semesters in a notoriously difficult chemistry program at UNC teaching other students how to study and how chemistry works, I can confidently say I've seen what works and what doesn't work for most students. Chemistry gets a bad rep, but with some time spent with the material and effective studying, we can work as a team to form our own idea of how difficult chemistry really is.

I want our time together to be about you and focused on active learning, always. Tutoring should feel difficult, that means its working! Well look over concepts briefly and fill any gaps we may find, focusing special attention to points of confusion I know always come up/are commonly tested on. Then on to practice questions. This is how we really learned and ensure were doing active learning with the material. We'll make sure you have a plan to continue your studying after our session is over, to ensure you're doing effective studying. This allows you to learn how to study (arguably the hardest part) and chemistry!
