About Paul
Hello!
My name is Paul. I am a professional Spanish teacher. I started teaching Spanish because I have always had an interest in other languages and cultures. I taught TEFL for many years in China, and I really enjoyed the experience.
I have taught different types of students over the years, from students who had little interest and only wanted to pass the subject to students who spoke Spanish as a second language at home.
I enjoy seeing my learners gain the confidence to speak the language.
As a teacher, I think I am very patient and can explain concepts quite well.

I'm a Spanish teacher with five years of teaching experience primarily in a post-primary school setting. My lessons focus on helping students use Spanish with confidence, whether they are just starting out or building on what they already know. I tailor each lesson to the learner's goals and learning pace.
I generally try to practice all skills in the class, and generally I try to use Spanish when it's possible. I explain grammar to try and build up students' understanding with examples and exercises, and give feedback as needed so students can see their progress.
Lessons are typically 40 minutes though lesson length can be adjusted.
