About Waseem
I'm Waseem, a Chemistry student at UCL, currently taking a gap year while I prepare for some upcoming exams. I've always enjoyed explaining things clearly and helping others understand subjects that once felt confusing to me too — chemistry and maths weren't always easy for me either, and I remember exactly what helped me finally understand them. That's what drives me as a tutor: I want students to feel genuinely confident in a subject, not just able to get through an exam. I'm patient, approachable, and genuinely invested in seeing my students improve.

I take a patient, personalised approach to tutoring, focusing on building genuine understanding rather than just memorising answers. I break down tricky concepts step-by-step, using clear explanations and plenty of practice questions, adapting my style to how each student learns best. I've been privately tutoring since 2022, and I'm currently a Chemistry student at UCL. My lessons are typically one hour long and are aimed at GCSE students studying Chemistry or Maths, whether they're aiming to build confidence, fill gaps in understanding, or push for higher grades.
