My teaching style is very based on the student - I believe no two students need exactly the same lesson, and I make an effort to adapt to each person I teach in this respect. My lessons focus on musical interpretation, rhythmic awareness, and physical ability.
I’ve been a guitarist for over 10 years, and a musician for 16. I’ve performed on guitar in all kinds of venues, including cafes, rock concerts, restaurants and festivals. I learnt the Ukulele 6 years ago, and I’ve been teaching for 5 years to people of all abilities and ages, in groups and solo.
River has been working with me since she was 17, teaching on chamber music and music theory courses. She is very well taught herself, and this comes through in her delivery of both one-to-one and small group lessons. She is a natural musician, able to convey her enthusiasm for music and is experienced at teaching all ages from 5-adult. I recommend her unreservedly.
River’s been teaching me to play violin for a couple of months now and she’s been very good at it. Everything is explained clearly and at a pace that suits me and with a great deal of patience and enthusiasm for the instrument. Until I’d started learning with her, I had no idea I even wanted to learn the instrument, and she’s inspired me to continue with it.
