Hello! I’m Eric! I’m a Korean, first-generation college student from North Carolina, currently studying Statistics and Analytics at UNC Chapel Hill. I completed the rigorous IB Diploma Programme and proudly earned my diploma, which helped build my academic foundation. I’m passionate about helping students grow confident in calculus and statistics, especially by connecting abstract concepts to real-world examples. I bring a supportive, encouraging approach that emphasizes understanding over memorization. As someone who has navigated academic challenges firsthand, I’m committed to creating a welcoming space where every student feels seen and capable of succeeding.

Hi! I'm a Statistics and Analytics major at UNC, and I specialize in helping students truly understand Calculus and Statistics by solving real-world problems.
I start by introducing a problem that applies to the student's current interest, such as analyzing trends or using the chain rule. From there, we work backward: identifying concepts, clarifying misunderstandings, and building understanding of the material through guided exploration.
My teaching method is highly interactive. Students learn best by doing, so I encourage plenty of participation and questioning. I tailor each session to the students' needs—whether they’re preparing for an AP exam, tackling college coursework, or just trying to build confidence.
I will typically follow this format:
1. Warm-up to review past material
2. A core concept broken down
3. Guided practice with increasing independence
4. A brief reflection and plan for next time
My ability to connect abstract math to things that matter—analyzing sports stats, interpreting survey results, or understanding the calculus behind motion sets me apart. I’ve helped peers, high schoolers, and first-year college students succeed and feel more confident.
I offer lessons to high school and college students, including AP Calculus AB, Introductory Statistics, and college-level calculus and regression analysis.

Eric tutored me for both of my ap exams, he explained all the concepts with great detail and was very through with his explanations.
I know Eric from my high school club, he currently goes to one of the top public university in NC.
Eric helped me study for my AP Precalc exam and managed to explain problems I didn't understand making it easier for me to solve them on the exam, he taught me through solving problems, procedurally and conceptionally through teaching general ways to solve the problem and things to not do based on the problems.
