About Kemran
I am a 3rd year Actuarial and maths student who is always eager to help high school students with their maths studies. I work part time as a finance cadet at a financial advisory and accounting firm.
I received the highest bands in Extension 1 and 2 mathematics in my HSC.

Lesson plan: Practice, practice… PRACTICE!
My success in High School Maths came from consistently practicing exam style questions, even if I do not fully understand the topic. It is important to develop a sort of ‘pattern recognition’ when answering maths questions; an intuition.
During my lessons, we will follow these steps in tackling each problem:
0. Identify which topics the student particularly struggles with.
1. answer the chosen questions individually under some time constraint.
2. compare our methodology and intuition behind our working out/solution (discussion).
3. advice on how I would dissect the problem; What are the key indicators in the problem? Where in the syllabus does the problem relate to?
4. a succinct outline on the topic and theory behind each problem.
5. Answer any questions the student has.
After we complete all problems set for the lesson, advice will be given on what the student needs to work on independently. Questions can also be set to be done at home if the student wants more practice.
