About Jamie
I’m a 20 year old University student at BIMM. I’ve had experience in playing gigs and other live performances, as well as being taught by Ben Thomas (Rag n Bone Man’ drummer), Vinnie Lammy (The Spice Girls/ Take that) and Darren Beckett (Brandon Flowers and Van Morrison).
I’ve been playing drums since 12 and I take a less academic approach to teaching drums as I believe drums within popular music rely more on ‘feel’ and energy behind the kit rather than amazing technical ability (although that never hurts) once you get to a certain standard.

Hi, I’m Jamie. A 20 year old drum student at BIMM University. As a young musician I understand the frustrations in learning ‘by the book’ and the challenges that causes when wanting to play the music you love. I will teach you how to play songs you love in a professional and disciplined manner as well as teach you the foundations and basics of drumming for beginners so if you are not a beginner drummer I may not be the teacher for you. I will give you my personal number and you can message me any songs you want to learn and I’ll have it ready for the next lesson.
