About Dhruv
Hi! My name is Dhruv! I study Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. What fascinates me within engineering is learning a wide array of concepts, from thermal expansion, to physical stress analysis, to even chemical combustion! Importantly, I love understanding the world around me, and this is key to learning.
Understanding why calculus is used in life, or why statistics can make or break a products reputation, helps me understand the concept. I hope to convey this into everyone of my students' work, ensuring their success not through repetition or simply textbooks, but true understanding via demonstration and thought!

Currently pursuing my BS in Civil Engineering, I have an extensive background in many mathematics and science courses. From Statistics to Multivariable Calculus, and Biology to Physics. I even have taken some more niche courses, such as Environmental Science and Statics.
My focus within my academics are on my Physics based courses, but I have taken and excelled in a plethora of math and science courses in both AP classes in HS and in college.
I focus on understanding why something is being taught, rather than memorizing steps. When I taught javascript to children ages 4-15, I utilized understanding why something was being taught so that my students would understand how to solve problems.
My lessons would be mostly for Highschool Sophomore, Juniors, Seniors, and even College Freshmen!
Focusing on understanding a concept, then illustrating the concept into practice problems, has been my key method in teaching in the past, and is what I will undertake to ensure my students' success!
