I can provide general support with History for all school ages, specialising in essay writing skills. I believe that enjoyment of a subject along with confidence in ability are crucial for learning, and can help to promote these in my students.
I am currently studying History at Newcastle University, and also have a year of experience working full-time at a primary school. Although new to tutoring, I have extensive experience in childcare and organised learning, and am also engaged in the ongoing teaching of English to two Italian children.

For two months during the past two years I worked as an au pair for an Italian family, both looking after the children (in a practical sense), and teaching them English. This required both patience and kindness, as well as an ability for rapid learning myself (adjusting quickly to the situation and being able to communicate in Italian when necessary).
