About Avinash
I am an undergraduate at the London School of Economics, studying Economics and Data Science. I achieved 4 A* in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics, and before this, got 11 Grade 9s in my GCSEs.
My first experience teaching was tutoring my younger siblings through the 11+ process and helped them gain places to top grammar and independent schools in the UK. Since then, I have volunteered as a teacher in secondary schools in the UK and abroad, and also taught students privately in Maths, Physics and more.
Throughout my own academic journey, I have always been passionate about finding the best ways to learn a concept, and have enjoyed sharing this with others. When I teach a student, I first ensure I understand their needs and how they learn, and plan accordingly to ensure that my lessons get the most out of them. I balance stretching the student with making sure their fundamentals are rock solid, which is crucial for exams like GCSEs and A-Levels.

I like to approach teaching with a rigorous approach and a clear methodology, breaking each concept down into simplest concepts and using real-world examples to help a student turn memorisation into true understanding. Most importantly, I make sure I adapt my teaching approach to the individual student, putting their needs and style of learning first.
I teach Maths and Physics from Year 7 to Year 13 (up to A-Level), and also teach Further Maths A-Level. A typical lesson is 1.5hrs. I also can provide support with Economics related university admissions, including support with personal statements and TMUA preparation.
