Shortly, I am a student aspiring to become a teacher someday. My ambition is to prove pupils in Southampton that Mathematics is easy and enjoyable! Patient and really well organised, I will structure the curriculum efficiently, explain difficult concepts in an easy-to-follow manner and assign a realistic amount of homework to strengthen your knowledge.
Being a tutor online allowed me to help a large number of pupils revise for their exams in Mathematics. It enhanced my ability to accurately assess the pupil's knowledge and structure my explanations accordingly. Not seldom have I been thanked for being able to "destroy" the mystery mathematical concepts and proofs have at first sight!
I began my undergraduate degree in Mathematics and Philosophy in 2015 at the University of Southampton and I have obtained great results so far. For example, I have been awarded the 2016 Alumni Prize for Best Performance by a 1st year Combined Honours Student in my subject area. I have experience in online tutoring, as mentioned in the above section.
From day one, Emilia has been the type of tutor I have been looking for, for a long time for my daughter. She is firm but friendly and makes her lessons engaging and interesting which is needed with an 11 year old! She always emails me after a lesson to summarise and to give the necessary homework.
I have asked Emilia to trial a lesson with my 6 year old son and will update my review once this happens.
I believe Emilia is an excellent tutor and will keep her for as long as possible. Thank you
My name is Alexandra Onofrei and I’ve been Theodora’s best friend for a long time. I know her really well because we spent our childhood together. We’ve been classmates for 12 years and I had the chance to see a lot of her abilities. She is always motivated to improve herself, to do things better day by day. Not only is she a good company, full of optimism, respectful and honest, but she always enjoys helping people around her. Our classmates asked for her help many times, especially with Mathematics, and she always did her best to make them understand the logic behind difficult concepts. One thing I know for sure, that she is really patient and ambitious – she never gave up until I had a good understanding of whatever it was that I needed help with. I can always lean on her. Another great thing about Theo is that she loves children. She always tells me how much she enjoys being around them. Her biggest desire is to share her knowledge with children, to leave something behind, to help them grow, and I truly believe she has everything it takes to be a great teacher!
