About Martha
Hi! I'm Martha, an incoming second year undergraduate student reading English and French at the University of Oxford.
I achieved all grade 9s at GCSE, all A* and A grades at A-level and a Distinction (First) in my Preliminary English Language Exam at University and would like to support others to both achieve their academic goals and develop a working knowledge of Maths, English and French which extends beyond the classroom. I understand that revision guides and textbooks aren't always enough to achieve your desired results and develop a true understanding of concepts, which is why I am always looking to utilise fun and imaginative ways to explain things.
Outside of my studies, I coached gymnastics for 4.5 years which meant that I've picked up a range of teaching techniques, enabling me to tailor teaching to the learning style which works best for you.

I provide highly personalised sessions guided by the student's desired outcomes and preferred learning style. My main goals are to build confidence and provide a fun yet challenging learning environment which ensures that all students achieve the results they desire. I tutor all levels up to and including GCSE English, Maths and French. I am also willing to help with Oxbridge interview preparation and can offer personal statement advice.
I am equally happy to provide one-off sessions to work on any particular area of a subject which you may be struggling with or to do a series of sessions to work towards a longer-term goal.
