About Sofia
My name is Sofia and I am twenty years old, currently a third-year university student.
When I was nine years old, my family and I moved from Tehran to Vancouver, exposing me to a whole new culture. I had already taken English lessons in Tehran but it was very difficult for me to adjust to an English-speaking city. Luckily, after a few months, with the help of new friends, tv-shows and my teachers, speaking English became effortless.
I am currently living in Toronto and studying psychology and neuroscience. I love movies, swimming and writing and have lots of tutoring experience.

My classes are organized based on your needs and preferred methods of learning while pushing your boundaries to increase your learning and confidence.
I am currently in my third year of University so I know the stresses that accompany being a student, which is why I will make sure the classes remain relaxed and fun while being productive.
If you need help with school work, we will organize the lessons based on that and I can run you through the lessons, and create additional worksheets so you feel confident with the homework and tests.
If you are looking to increase your speaking skills, our sessions will be much more conversation-based. We may go through different vocabularies and conversation topics, make sure you're happy with your pronunciation and I may assign short videos or movies for example.
If you are preparing for an exam such as TOFEL or EILTS, we will base our lessons on practice tests and work on areas that you need the most help with.
In either case, I will make sure you are learning with your preferred method and working to your highest potential!
