I am graduating this year in English and History BA Hons and can teach both subjects up to GCSE stage. I am friendly, chatty and easy-going. My lessons are structured around the student, how they like to learn and what they want to learn. I am very practical and like to get students thinking outside of the box with constructive criticism to help them see their work progress. I often make lessons myself and break down information to make it easier for young students to comprehend and remember what they are learning. I am able to teach at the pace of the student and adapt my teaching lessons dependent on the ability of the student; I neither rush nor slow them down, but rather work with them. I am able to administer small tests after teaching information to see how well the student has learnt, and after this I am able to identify the student's strengths and weaknesses and continue my teaching methods based on this. As a young adult myself studying at University, I understand the pressure placed on learning as I have been through higher education only recently. I would like to give lessons preferably to younger students as I have had experience working with children, and to students who are serious about their education and would like someone who has been through what they are going through, to teach them what they need to know.
I have experience teaching children in India on my Gap year. I taught children from ages 4 through to 16, with classes up to 30 students. Students passed their 16+ exams with my help which enabled them to progress into further education. Over a period of three months, I noticed the growth of their confidence when speaking English, and through various tests and activities I found that all of them achieved the bare minimum of being able to speak English at a B1 level,
