About Zak
I'm a second year maths student at Cambridge university. I'm from North Yorkshire and went to state schools. I love to tutor above all because I believe everybody should be entitled to an equally good education. I understand that many people find maths difficult (myself included!), and I want to show students that that doesn't have to be the obstacle we too often make it out to be. Whether you love maths and want to pursue it, or dread maths and want to get through it - I understand. I'm committed to getting anyone to the level they want to be at, and I certainly never judge anyone for struggling with a topic or idea.

I'm passionate about maths and have always enjoyed helping people with it. I give lessons online and can structure them around the student's preference and need - be that past papers, targeted subject revision, teaching a new topic to the student, etc.
What's important for me is building understanding in the student, and so I never resort to cheap tricks and exam hacks in place of teaching actual skills. Maths, although often dreaded, can be a rewarding and fun subject if seen with the right mindset. I aim to get that across wherever possible, because once a student enjoys a subject, they can't help but succeed.
Maths is lucky in that the content taught is near identical across exam boards and across many entrance exams, so students needn't worry about whether I can help them with xyz - chances are I can.
