About Annabel
I am a Philosophy and Economics undergraduate at the University of Bristol, and I studied maths at A Level.
I achieved A–A grades across my GCSEs*, so I understand the work and exam pressure that students face at GCSE level. Having recently completed my own A Levels, I also have a good understanding of how to prepare effectively for exams and how to approach difficult questions.
I want to tutor because I enjoy helping others understand difficult topics and become more confident in their abilities. I aim to make lessons friendly and relaxed while still helping students make real progress and achieve their goals.

My lessons are tailored to each student and focus on helping them understand the work rather than simply memorising methods.
I will explain difficult topics in a clear and simple way, work through examples with the student and then give them questions to practise independently. I can also set personalised homework based on the areas they need to improve.
Lessons will focus on building confidence, filling any gaps in knowledge and improving exam technique, including how to approach different types of questions and avoid common mistakes.
I can tutor GCSE Maths and other STEM subjects, adapting lessons to the student’s ability and what they are currently studying.
